Retinol vs. Retin-A

Don’t Be Fooled By the Marketing!

A couple of years ago I was giving my wrinkles the one-two punch by using an AHA cream in the morning and a Retin-A (tretinoin) cream at night. My skin looked really good, but true to their hype, these products also had some unsettling side-effects.
I made it through the flaking stage and moved on to the stinging stage. My face hurt like I had a sunburn… all the time. I had read that you could get Retin-A formulated with moisturizers or green tea, to soothe and calm the skin, so I did an online search to find one. I bought a cream that I thought was Retin-A, but was actually Retinol.
So, what’s the difference between them, and why should you care?
Dr. Schultz from DermTV can explain it all way better than I can:

Why didn’t I see this two years ago?? I feel like a fool.
I’ve wasted 2 years in my war on wrinkles using a product that was doing nothing.
