IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Review

IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Review

it Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in Light/Medium

I did my first IT Cosmetics review a few months ago when IT sent me their CC cream to try. Since then, they’ve sent me more products, and I’ve done more reviews, and along the way I’ve become a big IT fan! I like most of the products so much that I actually pried open my wallet to buy the Celebration Foundation and I wasn’t disappointed.

I have combination skin, so it’s dry in some areas and it gets oily in others. My usual experience with powder  foundations is that by mid-afternoon part of my face is itchy and feels dried out while other parts are a shiny mess so, I was beside my self with joy the first time I used this foundation and it solved both problems!

Angie Hot & Flashy

Me Looking Nice and Natural in IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation

I bought it in Light/Medium and then to my surprise, IT sent me another one in Medium Beige which was great for summer. This past summer, I had a big problem with break-outs so I was trying to use fewer liquid products to keep my pores from getting clogged. The Celebration Foundation has enabled me to skip primer and tinted moisturizer which has really helped to clear up my skin. Even without primer it stays in place all day, and as I said I don’t have any oily break through either!! I’ve been using the Medium Beige all summer as my concealer to hide my blemishes and age spots and as my foundation to even out my skin tone. This foundation looks natural, makes my skin look better than it is, isn’t cakey and I don’t look “made up”.

I love how easy this is to apply, and that there’s no mess like with loose powders. The powder goes on more creamy than powdery, it stays in place and can be built up from sheer to medium coverage. To get full coverage, you have to pack on quite a few layers and it doesn’t look as good (which is my only complaint about it because it says it’s full-coverage).

The ingredient list here is equally impressive for what it contains as for what it doesn’t. It does have: hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacinamides, hyaluronic acid, vitamins A, C, & E, rose, silk, and aloe so it’s hydrating, anti-aging, and soothing. It’s made without: parabens, talc, sulfates, and fragrance. It also contains “Drops of Light” technology which gives a softly diffused, lit from within finish without leaving little pieces of glitter on my skin. It doesn’t coat and sit on the tiny hairs on my face like other powders do which helps it to look less dry and cakey.

IT Dual Airbrush Foundation Concealer Brush

IT Dual Airbrush Foundation Concealer Brush

For first time buyers this is sold with a brush for $49.50 after which you can buy the compact alone for $35.00. The brush that came with my order was the IT Dual Airbrush Foundation Concealer Brush which sells for $48.00 on it’s own. I love the small end of this brush for doing my detailed concealing work like covering up age spots and broken capillaries around my nose. The larger domed end is great for applying the foundation all over.

I would have been perfectly happy with the dual end brush, but then IT sent me the “Heavenly Luxe Buffing Airbrush Foundation Brush”. I really love this brush and prefer it to the large end of the domed foundation brush that normally comes with the Celebration foundation because the flat top and sharp corner allows me to place the makeup more precisely and buff it in better.

I don’t know if there’s anything else for me to say about IT Celebration Foundation except that it’s remarkable that it’s caused a foundation hating “nature girl” to wax poetic about the virtues of a powder foundation!!
